What is ultra pure water?

It’s term of industry, and means extremely high purity water.
The word “ultra pure water” is mainly used in the industry field, and means extremely high purity water.
However, there’s not national or international standard. It’s required to satisfy the requirement standard by use.
Our ultra pure water has following performance.
　　Specific resistance (25 degree)　　18 MΩ･cm or more
　　Total organic carbon (TOC)　5 ppb or less
　　Viable bacteria count (5H cultured)　0 per litter
　　Endotoxin　　5 EU/L.

How about PH?

It’s neutrally in theory. (pH=7) However, measure electrical conductivity with an electrode when measuring pH. Ultra pure water is extremely low electrical conductivity, so pH measured value may be varied and not be able to get correct value

Is it drinkable?

It's essentially undrinkable.
If you drink a little, it changes to non ultra pure water at the moment of in your mouth.
However, in relation to osmotic pressure, it may be harmful to you, so do not take it.

What is a purpose of it?

It's utilized in several fields such as biotechnology, analysis, liquid crystal.
It's used in following field.
　・Washing water for semiconductor and liquid crystal
　・Eluent or dilution water of analysis
　・Purified water or injection solvent for medical
　・Raw materials of cosmetics
